Port police regulations

Access to Arsenal basin

Access to the marina is reserved to pleasure craft less than 25 meters long (real length including accessories) in good navigating and maintenance condition, notably as concerns the outer appearance of the hull and superstructures, except for boatels.
Vessels frequenting the port must in all circumstances be clear with French maritime, river, customs, tax and other government agencies, and comply with the navigability and safety prescriptions in force.

Passage through the 9th lock

The agents of the Navigation service have jurisdiction for admission, from the Seine and into the Seine, of commercial and pleasure craft navigating in transit and put the port officer with locking them through.
The port officer is the only one competent for the admission of pleasure craft that want to rest in the marina, or for lockage of those wanting to leave the marina.

Vessel speed

The speed of the craft must not exceed 6 km/h.  Users must make sure their wake does not cause large movements.

Cleanliness measures

It is prohibited that anyone:
· throw wastes, household garbage, rubbish in the marina waters;
· throw any unclean liquids, and notably hydrocarbons (diesel fuel, engine oil or grease, etc.);
· deposit on the wharves any product likely to pollute the port waters in a secondary manner.

Various prohibitions

· Swimming and bathing are still prohibited.
· Fishing is prohibited anywhere in the Arsenal basin.
· Vehicle traffic and parking is prohibited on the marina quays.  However, users may exceptionally gain close access their boat to unload merchandise or goods to be loaded on board, with authorization from the Port officer and for a short time only.
· Parking of boat trailers is prohibited.
· It is prohibited to wash cars, animals, and any objects in the marina.
· It is prohibited to picnic and make fires on the quays.
· It is prohibited to wash boats with drinking water from the terminals.

Admission conditions to conceded berths

Vessels are admitted only insofar as places are available.  Unless the port officer gives contrary instructions, the user accessing the port must dock his vessel at the reception barge and go to the Port authority, if he does not have a place under a contract guaranteeing use of a berth, to carry out the formalities before being assigned a berth.

Upon arriving, users must conform with the displayed rules and the port officer’s instructions before occupying a berth he assigns to them.

When the vessel arrives, the user has to fill out a stopover sheet and remit it to the port officer along with the boat’s papers and an insurance certificate.

The port officer determines the position of the berth that each craft is to occupy for the part assigned to passing users, however long the user intends to stary in the marina, in compliance with the reciprocal characteristics of the craft and the berth. He can also require the yachtsmen to move, and they have no grounds whatsoever for making a claim.

Use of sanitary facilities for users of conceded berths

Sanitary facilities (showers and toilets) are available to users on the two banks of the marina.  Yachtsmen must use them and not the facilities on board, which are prohibited.
For aesthetic reasons, it is prohibited to hang linen up to dry.

Measures to preserve the marina environment

It is prohibited for yachtsmen to carry out any furnishing or maintenance work that might create a nuisance for the other yachtsmen or the public.  It is notably prohibited to use the quays and catwalks to carry out these works or stow equipment.

Any noisy work or activities, in particular engine trials, are prohibited between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Users must furthermore avoid any noise that may disturb the neighborhood.  The intensity of radio apparatus, TVs, recorders, record players or other apparatus, as well as musical instruments, must in no case be a nuisance for the other users or marina neighborhood.
