Access to the network –Navigation speed
The whole river network of the city of Paris is freely accessible to any motorized leisure craft that can be identified by a flag or registration number.
The navigation speed is limited to 6 km/h and parking is regulated.
Tolls
The Saint Denis and Saint Martin canals are subject to a modest toll depending on the rate in force.
On the other hand, navigation is free of charge on the Ourcq canal and Clignon canal (or about 11.15 km of waterway) for leisure craft, as is the passage by moveable bridges and the locks of the Ourcq canal.

● On the Saint Martin canal
Outside the Paris-Arsenal marina, parking is authorized only in the Louis Blanc basin from May 1 to September 30 inclusive, on the left bank. The maximuml duration is 48 hours and is paid starting with the first day. Outside the zones prohibited by river signals, you can stop over for less than 24 hours free of charge.
● On the Saint Denis canal
Outside the zones prohibited by river signals, you can park at most five days. Parking is paid starting on the first day and only stops of less than 24 hours are free of charge.
● On the Ourcq canal (dans Paris)
You can lie 48 hours in the Villette basin (see map). Parking is paid starting the first day. You can also call in (maximum 6 hours) free of charge opposite the Parc de la Villette.
● On the rest of the network
You can lie free of charge for 7 consecutive days, beyond which you need a parking authorization delivered by the canal service.
